The Urban Wellness method for building a fulfilling, balanced life is made up of four key areas:
01 Monthly intentions
02 Weekly inspired goals
03 Daily reflections
04 Weekly reviews
Intentions and goals are different.
Whereas intentions are focused around how we ultimately want to be and feel, goals are rooted in what we want to do and achieve. Goals without intentions can result in a large part of our happiness hinging on one specific outcome (“I will be happy when/if”).
This prevents us from enjoying the present moment and emphasizes what we don’t have versus what we do have. Intentions connect us to meaning and purpose so that we can feel inspired to meet our goals and enjoy the process along the way.
Focus your time on your priorities, live with more purpose, gain gratitude, feel connected to your desires, and finally accomplish your goals with intention.
Why 90 days?
It takes time to create meaningful change. Studies show that on average it takes over two months for a new behavior to become automatic. Additionally, in working with clients over the years I have noticed that it takes about three months for most people to feel like they’ve created sustainable, lasting new behaviors.
I designed this workbook to be simple.
I have used planners and journals my whole life and have found that the more complex they were and the more sections there were to fill out, the lower my motivation was to actually use them. So, I wanted to create something easy to use yet still inspiring and effective. I use my Urban Wellness workbook everyday and I hope you find it as helpful as I do!
